Grants

The municipality of Muonio annually grants cultural, sports, youth, event and village association grants within the budget allocations. On this page, you can find information about cultural, sports and youth grants. You can apply for event and village association grants here. Uniform application deadlines apply to all grants, and the grants follow uniform grant conditions and principles. All grants are applied for through the same system using a uniform application form.

Grant applications are processed and evaluated by the grant work group as a collaboration between service areas in order to streamline coordination, minimize duplication and increase transparency. The service area managers grant the aid through official decisions based on the proposals of the aid working group.

Criteria for granting grants

1. The activity must not be contrary to good manners.

2. The subsidy granted by the municipality must not be the applicant's only source of funding. The same operator can apply for several grants, but the grants applied for must be clearly targeted at different activities. Overlapping grants are not awarded. When grants are awarded, other possible financial support granted to the association by the municipality or applied for grants are also taken into account.

3. The applicant must provide a sufficient explanation of his activities to the municipality before the grant is granted.

4. The grant can only be used for the need for which it was granted. If the grant is to be used for another purpose, a change of purpose must be requested separately. If the grant is partially or completely unused or the terms of use of the grant are violated, the grant can be partially or fully recovered.

5. The applicant who has been granted a grant is obliged to provide updated contact information and the aided activity on the municipality's website. A communication guide will be sent to the beneficiary to use.

6. Grant applications are processed and decision proposals are prepared by the grant work group. Grants are granted by office-holder decisions of service area managers. Grant application documents and decision documents are public. The grant is paid to the indicated bank account.
